New and Used Auto Financing from Capital One with Auto Navigator®

How the Automatic Navigator works

Use the Auto Navigator to pre-qualify for automatic financing before visiting participating dealers. We review the information you provide to determine whether you are pre-qualified without having an impact on your credit score. If you are pre-qualified, you will be able to see your monthly payments, APR and Offer Summary for vehicles that you might consider. Remember, your pre-qualification can only be used for the purchase of one private vehicle.

The Bid Summary will include estimates of financing requirements that you can qualify for when you apply for financing at the dealer. When you are ready to finance the vehicle, bring your Automatic Navigator Summary Offer to the participating dealers to let them know that you are pre-qualified for car financing with Capital One. Remember, you can use your cellphone to configure the vehicle and compare your options at the dealer! If you recently submitted and funded another loan with Capital One Auto Finance, this might affect your eligibility for a new loan with this pre-qualification.

* Monthly, APR, and Product Conditions
* Monthly payments and Annual Percentage Rate (APR) are not final until your financing is completed at the participating dealers. This provision is based on the information you provide and may change if you update information on our website or at a dealer. Online conditions are provided based on general monthly increases of 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 75, and 84; however, other conditions may be available at the dealer when buying a vehicle. Not all consumers qualify for this requirement.

Pre-qualification does not guarantee that you will receive financing or certain financing requirements, which can change based on our evaluation of your credit application submitted at the dealer and required documents. The term Automatic Navigator expires 30 days from the date your application is received.

For pre-qualifications, you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid street address in the nearby United States or APO / FPO address. The minimum monthly income required is $1,500 or $1,800, depending on your credit qualifications. Every existing Capital One account must be in good standing (not exceeding the limit, past the deadline, or in arrears).

Using the Auto Navigator at the Dealer
When you visit a participating dealer, show them the Summary of your Automatic Navigator Offer for the vehicle you want to finance or check-in using your pre-qualification. Check-in will allow the dealer to access your pre-qualification terms and preferences, including the car you have stored at the dealer (check-in is not available at all dealers and is not a mandatory step). Then you will fill out the credit application and provide the information needed for review to complete your financing.

The credit application at the dealer will produce one or more questions posted to your credit file. After negotiating the terms of purchase and receiving the dealer credit approval, you will sign a contract with the dealer that reflects your terms of purchase and financing. Your purchase can generate a retail installment contract with a dealer as an original creditor. See the auto loan FAQ on the Capital One web for more information.

Number of Restrictions Financed
For new and used vehicles, the Minimum Funded Amount is $4,000. Your maximum funded amount may be based on income, the main credit characteristics, the vehicle you bought, the details of the financing agreement, and / or the specific dealer where you bought the vehicle. The Funded Amount can include vehicle selling prices, taxes, rights, license fees, dealer fees, and any optional products such as service contracts and / or extended warranties that you choose to buy from the dealer.

Requirements for Military Loan Law
Due to the requirements under the Military Loan Act, automatic financing for certain members of the Armed Forces and their dependents cannot cover GAP, Credit-Life, or Accident & Health Insurance, and other similar products.
